Brief Info
Blackboard was founded in 1997 in Washington, DC. Later, it came together with Campus Management and iModules to form “Anthology”, a software developing group that serves the Ed Tech needs of educational institutions and business worldwide. Their main target markets include Grades K-12, higher education, businesses and government. However, all four markets are able to access the same features in Blackboard, which include testing/assessments, discussions and a main learning profile. The three ways that Blackboard can be deployed is by cloud, self-hosting and by managed hosting.
